What Is Facial Balancing With Dermal Fillers?

Aging happens to all of us, we cannot avoid it. Although it is multi-faceted, a huge component of aging is volume loss. Dermal fillers are utilized by the aesthetic industry to replace this volume. At Sol Aesthetics, we utilize hyaluronic acid fillers as well as bioregenerative, or longer- acting, dermal fillers, such as Radiesse and Sculptra.

When facial balancing is utilized by an experienced injector, the face is addressed as a whole, and the volume-deficient areas are corrected using either one or a combination of the above dermal fillers.

A good rule of thumb for how much volume we lose or how much filler will be needed is a syringe per decade. For example, someone in their 30’s will likely require 3 syringes of filler or more, someone in their 40’s will require 4 syringes, and so on.

The areas that can be treated with dermal fillers are:

  • Temples
  • Nose
  • Cheeks
  • Chin
  • Jawline
  • Lips
  • Ear Lobes
  • Tear Troughs

Hands, glutes, abdomen, and above the knees are also areas that can be treated with the bioregenerative dermal fillers (Radiesse or Sculptra).

Facial balancing provides you as the client with a natural, more youthful look with seamless transitions from one area of the face to the next. An experienced injector will provide a facial assessment and discuss a plan based on your aesthetic goals Most treatments can be completed in one session, but some require two or more.

Approximate costs for the above procedures vary but range from $2100-$5,000+. Yearly maintenance is recommended and combined with collagen induction therapy such as micro-needling or Morpheus8 (bipolar radiofrequency micro-needling).
